Daniele Jones moved to Venice four years ago to be closer to her grandchildren. She finds Venice to be "the perfect balance between a small town where everybody knows your name and a city where you feel anonymous." She has been making art as long as she can remember. Nurses at Venice Regional Bayfront Health were recently honored with DAISY Awards for Extraordinary Nurses, part of the DAISY Foundation's mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care they provide. DAISY stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. Honorees also receive a sculpture called "A Healer’s Touch," hand-carved by Shona tribe artists in Zimbabwe.
