County Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Sen. Bob Johnson’s Landing

The 7.1-acre Sen. Bob Johnson’s Landing Park, 9083 S. Tamiami Trail, is near North Port on the Myakka River. It promotes eco-tourism, wildlife observation and picnicking. The project includes ADA-compliant trails, boardwalk, canoe/kayak launch, a restroom facility, picnic shelters and a floating dock. Construction began in March 2018 and cost almost $3 million. The ribbon was cut in January.
