Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Hires New Managing Director

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is pleased to announce Vickie Hubbard as its next managing director beginning June 2019. Vickie follows Sandie Aaron, who retired after a three-year tenure. “Our executive search committee did an exceptional job vetting applicants and finalizing their recommendation of Vickie,” said Michele Swann, general manager and CEO of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority. “Her vast experience in the public assembly management industry, as well as her vision for CEPAC, makes her the ideal choice to further drive the theater’s success.”

 

Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair attracts 300,000 people every year from north Georgia and neighboring states. The fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue-ribbon competitions, local entertainment and delicious fair foods. There are also games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition Midway—one of the largest carnival midways in the United States—featuring the Wildcat Rollercoaster, Georgia Mountain Lift and the Mega Slide.

Cobb County School District: Top 25 Employers in Georgia

Google, Home Depot, Publix Super Markets, Emory University and Gulfstream Aerospace join the Cobb County School District as part of the top 25 employers in the state of Georgia. In Forbes’ first-ever ranking of America’s best employers by state, Cobb Schools 23rd, just below Chick-fil-A and above FedEx, Charles Schwab, Honda Motor, the University System of Georgia and many more standout employers in Georgia.  Cobb Schools is one of only two K-12 school districts to make the list and the only one to make the top 25.
