My greatest desire as a physician is to see my patients happy—truly happy about their health and their growth as individuals. I am passionate about learning to live a healthy and fulfilling life, not only for my patients but for myself as well. With an increasing interest and pursuit in obesity medicine, I aspire to be a part of improving the alarming statistics regarding obesity. An ounce of prevention truly is worth a pound of cure, and it is never too late to get your health and your outlook on life back on track!
Four Tips Relating to Family and Internal Medicine:
1. Screening, screening, screening! If you catch it early, you can do something about it! Ask questions if you have them. We are here to listen.
2. Being healthy is more than a number on a scale. The best nutrition will come from food, and strength training is your friend. Obesity is an increasing issue in the United States and can lead to many serious illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and others. I know it seems hard, but with patience and kindness to yourself, you can make and see changes.
3. Always remember proper hand hygiene to help prevent basic colds and illnesses. Wear a mask if you feel you are at risk of spreading infection or getting infected.
4. Be an advocate for your health!
