Jessica Battista, CMP is a luxury travel adviser with SmartFlyer. Inspired by her grandmother’s mementos from Spain and Morocco, Jessica’s desire to travel began at an early age. She studied abroad at the University of Oxford, England, hiked 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago through northern Spain and spent time traveling throughout Europe, Asia, South America, the Caribbean and Mexico. Her vast travel experience and affiliation with the Virtuoso network allows her to deliver exceptional itineraries with VIP treatment for her clients.

Dennis Malcolm Byron is originally from New York and a Cornell University alumnus. He is an award-winning journalist and photographer who has worked with various publications and websites for the past 20 years. He is also a world-renowned beer writer, blogger and event planner under the alias Ale Sharpton. Atlanta, GA is his home.

Kimberly Dejanovich-Ryan moved from California to Georgia in August 2014, with her husband and two dogs. She loves exploring Georgia and all the beauty it has to offer. She’s involved with hiking groups and enjoys donating her photography services to animal shelters and rescues in Georgia. Kimberly loves not only taking pictures, but everything else that comes just before that shutter button clicks.

Laura Miller is a native Atlantan with a passion for the written word. From creative short stories to folk songs, business writing to human interest journalism, Laura has written some of everything and enjoys a challenging topic. Currently, she writes for numerous local publications as well as small businesses.

Nadiyah M. Jett served as business and finance editor for national women’s magazine Upscale. She freelances now for several online and print publications, including Patch and The Atlanta Voice and has spent a decade writing and editing articles for diverse audiences. The married mom of four children has also shared her skills with local entrepreneurs in need of a stronger marketing presence by working as their communications manager. She plans to launch a multidimensional beauty blog while continuing her freelance writing career.

Lia Picard has lived in Atlanta with her husband for nearly three years, hailing from the Sunshine State. She loves to cook and explore the local dining scene, highlighting both on her blog and other publications around town. Lia loves the Atlanta community and shows support by volunteering with different local organizations including the Junior League of Atlanta.

Nikki Rau-Baker is an Atlanta based photographer who has been photographing as a hobby for the past 20 years and started her own business 2 years ago. She lives in the Smyrna area and can be found around town taking photos of everything from conventions, to community events, and concerts. Find her work at

Mary Welch is a business and lifestyle editor who writes on a broad range of topics ranging from the legal world to automobiles to travel for a variety of local and national publications. She is the former editor of Atlanta Woman and business to business magazines.
