How the “Good Bones” of this San Clemente home were brought back to life.

Tell me, what do the words “forever home” mean to you? Do you imagine a polished retreat of pristine finishes? Or maybe you envision a comfortable beach cottage with a warm and welcoming design?  As the Sea Pointe Construction team often says, “The answers are infinite and individual. No two will ever be the same.”

After falling in love with a 1979, Spanish style home, this San Clemente couple started their search for a credible, knowledgeable and trustworthy remodeling contractor who could bring their vision of a “forever home” to life. After meeting with numerous general contractors, the couple confidently partnered with Sea Pointe Construction’s team of design/build professionals.  With a shared sense of excitement surrounding the whole home remodeling project, it was full speed ahead.

While working with their Sea Pointe Construction design consultant to establish a design style, the couple found themselves gravitating towards warm toned and linear finishes. In the kitchen, slab front, walnut cabinetry with frosted glass and stainless steel accents create a stylized and polished space. Solidifying their modern design style; the subtle veining and minimal moment of Cambria’s “Ella” quartz were paired perfectly with an eye-catching, onyx bar top. The apple of every contemporary kitchen’s eye, stainless steel Bosh appliances fit perfectly within the kitchens modern façade. Whether they are cooking for 2 or 20, side by side convection and steam ovens, an induction cooktop and a subzero refrigerator are sure to turn these home-chefs into heroes.

Continuing a consistent design aesthetic throughout the home, walnut cabinetry, onyx countertops, and frosted glass accent cabinetry are framed by two, twenty-four inch, stainless steel wine refrigerators in the bar area. Throughout the main living spaces, large format limestone tile flooring is a welcomed replacement to the distressed, twelve by twelve terracotta tile flooring that once was. Offering an uninterrupted, panoramic view of the ocean, a series of Pella “Multi-slide” door systems open to the home’s backyard, outdoor living, and entertaining space, and Bocce Ball court.

In the living room, thoughtfully designed floating shelves and cabinets compliment the vaulted ceiling and wood beams. Elegantly incorporated LED puck lights and a seamlessly built in surround sound entertainment system bring the space to life, day or night.

Designed to bring a breath of brightness to the home, “Pearl White” master bathroom vanity and linen cabinets are the perfect base for the Cambria quartz “Britannica” countertops and shower bench. Angular cabinet hardware, frameless shower glass, and a sleek linear drain keep the space true to the San Clemente couple’s modern design style. With only one window, offering very limited natural light, the Sea Pointe Construction team suggested bringing brightness in from above! An enlarged skylight amplifies the master bathrooms professional, detailed design.
