59th Annual San Clemente Arts & Crafts Fair

This year’s outdoor fair had a great turnout, with more than 100 artisans and artists, paintings, handmade jewelry, ceramics and one-of-a-kind clothing. They also had a burger stand run by Marines and a free kids’ face painting booth.

San Clemente’s Fiesta Music Festival Returns

Music took center stage once again at the festival in downtown San Clemente this year! The free event featured countless bands, kids’ activities, a motorcycle show and many vendors. Food and games sponsored by local nonprofits were also a part of the mix.

Grand Opening: Paradis Ice Cream

The California ice cream chain has now come to San Clemente! To celebrate their opening, they gave away two free scoops to every customer until 3 p.m. on opening day. The shop features gelato and sorbet with minimal ingredients and great flavors. Their chefs handcraft each flavor in their kitchen from fresh, natural ingredients just like they do in Denmark.

New Customer Service Lobby at City Hall

This new lobby will be a great benefit to the community and the residents as an improved one-stop shop for any permitting, business license and utility payment needs. “The new layout will provide a better experience for customers and will allow staff to better serve the community,” City Manager James Makshanoff said. Grants Awarded to Several Local Nonprofits

The Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) has granted $146,000 to 30 local nonprofits dedicated to the enrichment of arts and culture programs and arts education. Several San Clemente nonprofits received funding, including the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area, Casa Romantica, San Clemente Community Theatre and Surfing Heritage Foundation. San Clemente’s Landscapers Honored at 2019 Beautification Awards

The OC Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) recently held its 2019 Beautification Awards honoring 16 local landscape contractors for excellence in landscape installation and maintenance and demonstrating the best quality, construction, originality and attention to detail on projects completed within the last year.
