Sky Stage in downtown Frederick was the setting for Dream House's client appreciation party. The theater was filled with those who came to enjoy a night out with the Dream House team. Doug and Theresa Gardiner of The Maryland Group of Long & Foster invited 12 local designers to share their talents at 313 W. Second St. in historic Frederick. Close to 150 guests at the VIP Kick-Off Premiere Party were the first to see the exciting work of local interior designers. Ticket sales will benefit the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
The Women's Giving Circle held its Annual Tea and Grant Awards. The organization's goal is to strengthen women and children through the power of collective giving. Members of the Grants Committee awarded 24 grants this year, totaling $210,000 to nonprofits in Frederick County that support women and children.
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association celebrated 80 years with aviation enthusiasts from across the country. The two-day experience featured free educational seminars, an extensive aircraft display and a Pilot Town Hall with AOPA President and CEO Mark Baker. The Arc of Frederick County and Frederick Rocks partnered to bring community members of all ages together for a fun day of painting "Kindness Rocks." While enjoying the Classic Americana sounds of Ante Up, friends and family painted hundreds of rocks to hide throughout Frederick. Keep an eye out for one of these hidden treasures! ARCFC.org
