Happy Healthy 2020

Love it or hate it, we’ve left last year behind and here we are, piercing 2020. Out with the old, in with the new, right? That’s not always a breeze where our health is concerned because trading chocolate for carrot sticks may not make you happier—right away, anyway. Our quests to reach health nirvana may not be perfect or easy, but it’s only a decision away. And when we remember what we’re truly capable of, it’s really a spectacular thing to consider.

We’ll respect sacrifice. Firefighters suffer from higher rates of cancer, cardiovascular disease and behavioral issues due to the stress, carcinogens and pitfalls inherent in their jobs. The Castle Rock Fire Department is proud of their peer support and wellness program that encourages open dialogue and mental wellness among its members. Preparation is progress.

We’ll make it easier. Citrus Pear Dinners has come to town and is booking meal-prepping classes for make-ahead, delicious and healthy meals that go from freezer to fire, making life a little less hectic in the evenings. Coconut Chicken Curry, Vegetarian Pasta Fagioli or Barbecue Beef Sandwiches? Yes, please.

We’ll shed the old. Dry, dull winter skin? Orenda MedSpa in historic Downtown Castle Rock just happens to house the only Lumecca IPL by InMode in Douglas County. This award-winning intense pulse light laser treatment targets some of the issues you may want to shed for the new year—sun damage, age spots, broken blood vessels, freckles and rosacea. Fresh is fantastic.

We’ll want the best. We peek inside Michael Zakvrewski’s gym bag to see what Orangetheory’s head trainer chooses for his personal use. You’ve got to respect a guy who exercisesfor a living, so take his particulars to heart. There’s a reason for everything.

Stroll into the new year with us as we celebrate the finer things in Castle Rock, Castle Pines and Larkspur. We’ve got so much in store for you in 2020.

Let’s do it!
