This May we celebrate the ladies in our lives: the ones who savor the sparkle and the ones who prefer the pragmatic; the ones who soften our transgressions and the ones who push them to the forefront; the ones who meld into the background and the ones who step up when contention is considered by no one else. This issue delivers our unadulterated gratitude.

We’ll dwell on the deserving. We put forth a mix of special females who talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to helping others rise above the insurmountable. This smart set takes the cake.

We’ll commend simple relaxation and pure fun. We step away to experience what historic downtown Littleton has to offer for rejuvenating the mind, body and soul. We think you’ll find that taking pause for top-notch relaxation and recreation is fabulous, especially in hindsight.

We’ll glorify those who uphold others. There is no human requirement to avail ourselves to those who need assistance, yet there are those among us who give this gift freely. Wellspring Community progresses into another year of lovingly educating the intellectually and developmentally disabled. Opportunity, satisfaction and glee are for everyone.

We’ll remember who brought us into this world. We punctuate our Ladies Edition with unique gifts for Mom selected with sentiment by Melissa Rufenacht, co-owner of A Line Boutique in Castle Rock. Mother’s Day is marvelous.

We raise a glass to the gems in Castle Rock, Castle Pines and Larkspur.
