The 43rd J. Millard Yawes Crab & Clam Bake, an annual event named in honor of former Gov. J. Millard Tawes, provided a great opportunity to get together with friends and colleagues from across the state of Maryland.
A new permanent exhibit called Belair at Bowie opened at the Kenhill Center. The exhibit details the history of one of Levitt & Sons' most successful suburban developments. Attendees heard remarks from Mayor G. Frederick Robinson, toured the exhibit and viewed a film by Jeff Krulik called The Tales of Belair and Bowie. CityOfBowie.org

The 2019 Night to Shine event held at Cresthill Baptist Church in Bowie had more than 100 guests and 200 volunteers and caregivers. The guests were treated to pampering with hair, makeup and a shoe shine along with an entrance on the red carpet.
