Children’s National Health New Facility Underway in Prince George County

The Children’s National Health System is building a 60,000-square-foot regional outpatient facility in the Woodmore Towne Center. The official groundbreaking ceremony occurred in December 2017. The new outpatient and surgery center will give residents access to top-notch pediatric care with both specialty medical and surgical care. The expansive center will also give more convenient access to infusions, transfusions, MRIs and outpatient surgery. Children’s National Health in Woodmore is set to be fully operational and open to patients by 2020. 

Festival on the Green Powered by Primrose School of Gambrills

The Festival on the Green Powered by Primrose School of Gambrills will be held Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at Crofton Country Club.

The first 500 people to register and check-in at the festival will receive a special Festival on the Green bag. One lucky pre-registered guest will receive a sandwich platter, small side and a gallon of iced tea supplied by Newk’s Eatery. This free event includes more than 160 vendors and crafters, free pony rides, music and great food. The Gayle Harrod Band at Bowie Summer Concert Series

Bring the entire family out to the Bowie Town Center on Sept. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. for the family-friendly, fun musical performance by The Gayle Harrod Band. This free event is part of the Summer Concert Series.

Coming Soon: Topgolf Swings into National Harbor

Topgolf is an exciting, new entertainment venue for the whole family. Both golfers and non-golfers will be able to enjoy the three-story center with 100 hitting stalls, dozens of video screens, gaming areas, private party rooms and a restaurant. This new business will create 500 jobs in Prince George’s County. Golf discounts will be available for children and high school golf team members. Officials broke ground at the Oxon Hill location in June 2018.
